Blue Ridge Mountain Electric Membership Corporation is pleased to partner with TVA to provide a new energy improvement rebate program called eScore. eScore rates your home on a scale of one to ten with ten being the most efficient your home can be. You can sign-up for the program by going to www.2escore.com. Please provide as much information in the registration process that you can. There are two pathways for eScore.
The first is the Contractor Pathway. Register with eScore* and select a Quality Contractor Network member to make improvements to your home. They will upload any qualifying measures to TVA and you will be contacted by a TVA eScore advisor to perform your free evaluation. After the initial visit by the advisor you will receive a rebate check for the qualifying measures in about 30 to 60 days. If you went through the previous In Home Energy Evaluation (IHEE) program, you may also participate in this new program.**
Members who install non-energy star rated heat pump equipment will not be eligible for an eScore rebate but will receive the free energy evaluation. Your QCN member will turn the system in and an advisor will call to schedule the evaluation.
The second pathway is the Evaluation Pathway. You may request an evaluation by an eScore advisor to determine what measures you may need to improve in your home. There is a $175 non-refundable charge for an evaluation that is performed prior to any work being done by a QCN member. After your evaluation you may contact a member or members of the QCN to perform improvements to your home.
All energy upgrades must be performed by a member of TVA’s Quality Contractor Network. There will be no exceptions to this requirement.
For members that do not have internet access, you may contact our Customer Service or Member Services Departments for assistance in registering for eScore. (706) 379-3121 or (828) 837-1017 ext. 135 or ext. 151.
*Members who have P.O. Boxes or do not live full time at the residence will need to call the number(s) above to register.
** Measures that were previously counted toward a rebate in the IHEE program will not qualify. Only measures installed after September of 2014 will be considered for rebates.
